Walking for a Cause – Pledge

We are walking to support a new playground for El Campito Child Development Center! El Campito was founded in 1970 to aid migrant families as they settled in South Bend. Today, 40 years later, it is the oldest non-profit bilingual child development center. Their programs demonstrate their commitment to create an inclusive community that embraces and celebrates children from all cultures and backgrounds, and they provide support to many families at low cost or no cost at all.

The center has many needs but we want to focus and raise money for it’s after school recreation program. Kids, ages 5 and above, come to El Campito after school while their parents are working. They get help with their homework and play but they have no adequate recreational facilities and equipment except for the preschool playground. El Campito is in dire need of upgrading an old basketball court for these older kids, and buy some basic outdoor equipment.

To be able to upgrade/renovate its outdoor facilities, the Center needs about $5,000.00. El Campito is a 501(c)3 and your donations are tax deductible.
